Q: I’m a creditor in a case. Can I come to the meeting of creditors and ask questions?
A: Yes. But please be aware that in chapter 7 and 13 cases, multiple cases are heard in an hour, so there may be limited time for questions. The trustee will afford you as much time as he/she can, but it would be best if you contact the trustee ahead of the hearing date to alert him/her of your interest. The trustee might be able to call the case last on the hour so that no other cases are waiting while you ask your questions. It is best if you keep your questions to the point so as to fit as many of them as you can into the time allotted.
