The Healthcare and Consumer Products Section (HCP) is responsible for civil antitrust enforcement, competition advocacy, and competition policy in the areas of:
- Pulp, paper, and timber
- Food products
- Cosmetics and hair care
Federal and State Contacts
Healthcare matters: HCP often works with the Department of Health and Human Services and state attorneys general in its healthcare investigations and cases.
Competition advocacy: HCP often collaborates with the Federal Trade Commission on competition advocacy in the healthcare sectors, including advocacy efforts that address Certificates of Need Rules.
