ICITAP's expertise has grown over the years in response to three types of development challenges, each requiring a unique approach:

ICITAP works with foreign governments in these countries to develop law enforcement and corrections institutions through technical assistance and training in a broad range of areas, and its specialized expertise is continually expanding. See Subject Matter Expertise.
