Welcome to the website for the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Washington. As the chief federal law enforcement officer in Western Washington, it is the job of the U.S. Attorney and her staff to enforce the criminal laws of the United States by directing investigations and prosecuting cases developed by a network of federal law enforcement agencies. The office also fills a critical role as legal counsel for the United States government including federal agencies involved in litigation. This web site will provide you with important information about the office and its mission.

The threats to our communities are many: terrorism, gun violence, organized crime, financial fraud and the scourge of drug dealing. In an increasingly complex world, many of these crimes cross borders and span cyberspace– they target both our physical and financial security. The 68 attorneys and 69 support staff in this office work every day to enhance the safety and security of Western Washington and make it an even better place to live.
