Appellate Division

Appellate Division is responsible for overseeing all appellate work filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and acting as the liaison with the DOJ Appellate Section and the Solicitor General’s Office on appellate matters. With support from the Appellate Division, AUSAs handle their own appeals from drafting and filing a brief to arguing before a three-judge panel.
