Parker Man Sentenced to 51 Months in Prison for Felon in Possession of a Firearm

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Elijah Shane Silva, 29, of Parker, Arizona, was sentenced on June 23, 2025, by United States District Judge Diane J. Humetewa to 51 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Silva previously pleaded guilty to Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

On October 25, 2022, the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Silva, an enrolled member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes. During the stop, Silva was found to be in possession of a 9mm handgun. Silva had a previous federal conviction for possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and was prohibited from possessing a firearm as a felon.

The FBI Phoenix Division’s Lake Havasu Office, the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office, and the Colorado River Indian Tribes Police Department conducted the investigation in this case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Christina J. Reid-Moore, District of Arizona, handled the prosecution.
