1549. Penalties, Venue, Effect On Other Laws -- 18 U.S.C. § 1752

Willfully and knowingly engaging in certain conduct in violation of the statute or regulations issued thereunder is a misdemeanor pursuant to Section 1752 of Title 18.

Section 1752 of Title 18 further provides: (1) maximum punishment of a fine, six months imprisonment, or both, for violation of the section and attempts or conspiracies to commit such violations; (2) venue in the Federal district court having jurisdiction of the place where the offense occurred; and (3) that existing Federal or local laws are not superseded by the act.
