1519. New Offense -- 18 U.S.C. 1028 -- Related To Unlawful Interception Of Communications Under 18 U.S.C. 2516

Title 18 U.S.C. § 2516 -- which addresses authorization for interception of wire, oral, or electronic communications -- was amended in 1996 to include felony violations of section 1028 relating to the production of false identification documents as an authorized basis for seeking interception authorization. That new provision is found in 18 U.S.C. § 2516(1)(o).
