2.8 - Amicus Curiae
A person or organization wishing to file a brief as an amicus curiae must file a motion or petition with the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) or with the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer (CAHO), if the matter is under review. The ALJ or CAHO, as applicable, will grant or deny leave to file such brief. An amicus curiae will not be allowed to participate in any way in the conduct of the hearing, including the presentation of evidence and the examination of witnesses.
